A truly excellent location as it is just a few minutes from the historic center and from the most beautiful artistic and cultural sites, such as the renowned Ponte Vecchio and the spectacular Piazza della Signoria. To help you find your way around Florence, we have prepared a small itinerary for you.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
By car
From the North or South, take the Florence Certosa exit and then follow the directions fro the Center and for Viale Michelangelo. Having driven for circa 2 kilometers, you will see a yellow sign with directions to Piazzale Michelangelo. When you arrive to Piazzale Michelangelo, you will see a splendid terrace from which you can enjoy views of the city. Continue along the road with trees until you arrive to Piazza Ferrucci. Hotel David is on your right, at number 1 on Via Michelangelo.
By train
From Santa Maria Novella station, you can take a taxi (about 10 minutes) or bus 23, 13 or D for Piazza Ferrucci. The bus stop is found at the side entrance to the station, at the end of the steps.
By plane
From Florence "Galileo Galilei" airport, you can take a taxi (about 30 minutes) or the shuttle bus which leaves every 30 minutes and brings you directly in front of Santa Maria Novella Station. From here, take bus 23, 13 or D for Piazza Ferrucci. The bus stop is found at the side entrance to the station , at the end of the steps.
