Hotel Balcony, (14 rooms) description: The hotel occupies the entire second floor of a typical Florentine palazzo and is furnished in a simple style. The terrace also has several chairs, small tables and umbrellas where you can unwind and enjoy the view or watch the people passing below.
Offering a spacious communal terrace with a romantic view towards the magnificent Duomo, this central hotel is within easy walking distance of all the main monuments and train station.
All bedrooms are decorated in a traditional Florentine style, with wooden furniture and terracotta tiles, designed to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The soundproofed double-glazed windows, offering a view over the terrace or internal courtyard, are also a very important feature in a hotel so near to the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
By Car:
From Rome:
- Exit the highway at Firenze Sud.
- Follow directions for the centre.
- Once you arrive at the traffic lights at the end of Lungarno del Tempio, turn right.
- Drive towards Piazza Beccaria, then along Viale Antonio Gramsci and Viale Giacomo Matteotti, until you reach Piazza della Libertà.
- Turn into Via Lorenzo il Magnifico.
- At the first set of traffic lights, turn left into Via Poliziano.
- Go straight down Via Santa Caterina and Via Nazionale, until you reach the station.
- Go around Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia and take Via del Melarancio.
- Turn right into Via del Giglio, and turn right again into Via dell'Alloro.
- When you come to the end of Via dell'Alloro, turn right into Via de' Conti.
- Drive along the entire road and turn right into Via dei Cerretani, which then becomes Via Dei Banchi.
- You will find the hotel on the left-hand side.
From Milan:
- Exit the highway at Firenze Nord.
- Follow directions for the centre.
- Once you reach the end of Viale Francesco Redi, turn right and then left into Via Guido Monaco.
- Drive to the end of Via Guido Monaco, and turn left into Via Fratelli Rosselli.
- After the the tunnel going under the railway, follow the ring roads going around the Fortezza da Basso.
- Continue down Viale Lavagnini.
- When you come to the first set of traffic lights, turn right into Via Santa Caterina and Via Nazionale, and continue driving until you reach the station.
- From there follow the above directions.
By Air:
From Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport, you can reach the Balcony Hotel with the shuttle service connecting the airport to the centre, or by private taxi.
By Train:
From Santa Maria Novella station, you can reach the Balcony Hotel either by private taxi or on foot: from Piazzale della Stazione you will come to Piazza Santa Maria Novella, and turning left into Via dei Banchi, you will find the hotel at number 3.
